Rikki isn’t a normal Chihuahua, and that is okay. She was born with an angular limb deformity, and so she has to walk on her front legs in a unique way.
When this dog arrived at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, her caretakers new she was in need of a special family to take care of her. Thankfully, through the power of social media, she found one in a kind little girl and her father.
Dad was online and happened to see a post about Rikki the Chihuahua on Facebook. His daughter knew almost immediately that this would be her dog. They went to the shelter and adopted Rikki, and now they live happily and play together every single day. This story is yet another reason and reminder to adopt a dog in need of a home.
