This Dachshund is one genius puppy! Or maybe her owner is the genius? Either way, I am both extremely impressed and hopelessly enamored!
Pavlov and his dogs would be proud that there are dog owners such as this one that have adopted methods of classical conditioning and positive reinforcement to train their dogs. Ultimately, this owner is trying to train Maddie the 10 week old Dachshund puppy to ring the bell when she has to go to the bathroom. He and she have a long way to go, but they’re off to a great start in this video and I’m sure that she learned the rest of the process not long after! I hope she doesn’t end up abusing the privilege of the bell… because that could become very annoying. Then again, how could you be annoyed by such an adorable dog?
