Sometimes, you come across a story on the web that can inspire you to be a better person, or to be more optimistic, compassionate, empathetic or thoughtful. This is one of those videos. I genuinely feel uplifted after viewing this and wanted to pass along.
In this video, a loving dog comforts a boy with down syndrome. The mama Yellow Lab gently paws at him, and licks him, as though to say, “I’m here with you and I want to protect you.” What an inspirational message.
This video was originally submitted to YouTuber, Jim Stenson, who is responsible for editing this video to include the very fitting soundtrack, “You Are So Beautiful.” This is what he had to say about how he came across the video and what it means to him:
“The person who filmed the original video contacted me in January 2013 She is the mom, her name is Ana, her sons name is Hernan, and the dogs name is Himalaya. Watch when the dog puts her paw on the boys shoulder as if to say, I love you, everything will be ok.”
