That is one big dog.
This American Bulldog and his owner are wrestling buddies – they love to push each other around! Having a big muscular bulldog to get rough with never gets old, and you can tell that even though the American Bulldog is making lots of grunting sounds and locking up with its owner, everything is under control. Mom doesn’t feel completely comfortable with all of the grunting and pushing, though!
Just in case you’re wondering, there are two types of American Bulldogs. The Johnson type tends to have a ‘bullier’ look – meaning that it has a broader head and thicker bone structure. Johnson American Bulldogs can weigh well over 100 pounds! The other type is the Scott American Bulldog, which tend to have a slightly more refined bone structure and come in around 70 – 90 pounds, on average. If you want a canine buddy to play rough with, this is your dog.
