As any athlete knows, the hobby that gave you the most joy as a kid often becomes harder and harder to do as an adult. First, life just gets in the way, and then old age keeps you from doing the rough-and-tumble things you once enjoyed. For one equestrian named Dick, old age was keeping him from going riding with his best four-legged friend, Bandit.
But Bandit, ever the gracious horse, was more than happy to learn a new trick to change all that. Mounting and dismounting had proved to be quite impossible for the elderly gent, so Bandit learned to lie down on the ground so his favorite human could climb aboard.
Kelly Drake watched this all unfold and captured a video of the two pals. “The bond between these two is so heartwarming,” she said. “I’m so glad they taught Bandit how to do this so Dick could keep riding. Bandit absolutely loves his owner. We never thought we would see Dick riding Bandit ever again. So this is truly something!” Check it out down below.
