Have you ever seen an Ermine? Neither had I, until I saw this video of course. This furry guy is as inquisitive as a dog, but with the suspicion of a cat! In case you’re wondering, an Ermine is basically a weasel or a ferret. That gorgeous white coat of fur is only present for a portion of the year. Most of the time, the Ermine’s coat is a brilliant shade of brown or apricot. In the winter, in order to adapt to the snow, which the Ermine may have to live in for up to two months each year, the coat changes to snow white to better conceal him from predators. In addition to their chameleon-like survival tactic, they’re also excellent climbers and can quickly scale a tree to avoid danger.
What a clever little guy! I’ve never seen one of these furry creatures up until now, but I know one thing for sure – he is irresistibly adorable!
